Simon is certified to Level 3 in both ASNT and ISO 9712 (SAQCC), with more than 20years of experience in the Inspection and NDT environments. In that time he has gained valuable knowledge in the Power Generation, Petro-chemical, Nuclear Rail and General industries, working with various codes, standards and specifications.

| ASNT NDT Level 3. Ben started his NDT career in 1980. He was involved in a variety of industries which included |
steel manufacturing, petrochemical and power generation. In 1987 he joined the SAIW as NDT lecturer and
consultant where he was given the opportunity to further
develop his passion for training and education. In 1995
he obtained his ASNT NDT Level 3 qualifications. Further experience in the various NDT methods was gained when he joined firstly Agfa and later the GE Inspection Technologies sales team. In 2008 he joined Sentinel Inspection as a partner. He currently serves on both ASNT and SAINT council and various other NDT committees. Ben enjoys the great outdoors and uses
every opportunity to scoot around on his 1200GS adventure motorcycle or exploring the bush in a 4x4 with
a camera close by, all great stress relievers

| AICB SA), MA (UJ). Elaine has been the Secretary of ASNT Africa Section since its 18 year dormant period. She is following in her father, Eric Guest's (ASNT Fellow) footsteps by having a passion to see that the section runs successfully. She has risen to the challenge of organising 11 level III examination sessions (invigilated by QCCO in Cairo), Which have increased the number of ASNT Level III personnel from 9 to 43 in South Africa in 5 years. She is keen to see more qualified people after the examinations in October 2016. With 25 years experience in television and in her current position of General Manager in the School of Applied Non Destructive Examination (SANDE), Elaine has learned not only to be productive in a fast-moving industry, but also to have as much fun as possible, which she enjoys mostly with her 3 children and 7 lovely grandchildren. |

ASNT Level 3. Hans is the owner of Filcon NDT Services.
He formerly worked for Turbomeca Africa where he was involved with chemical cleaning and managing of the NDT division. He is a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Fitter and was part of the team responsible for the upgrading and establishing of a new state of the art surface treatment plant within Turbomeca Africa. He started his career in NDT at Denel Aviation in 1990 and was part of the development team of the Rooivalk - and Agusta 109 Helicopters. He started his chemical cleaning career at Chemetall SA where he was part of the team that started the Ardrox division in South Africa. Some of his passions is cycling and playing golf.

Garth has been in the NDT industry since 1978. His main focus has been in the Aerospace Industry: Military and Commercial. He is now retired from his position as the responsible Level 3 for Denel Saab Aero Structures, where he headed up a team of 7 NDT personnel involved in both metallic and composite inspection of newly manufactured aircraft parts. Today he is the Quality Representative for the School of Applied Non Destructive Examination (SANDE). Garth is an avid fisherman and also manufactures inflatable boats in his spare time. His goal one day is to design and build his own house boat and disappear down the Zambezi. The ASNT Southern Africa Section is delighted to have such a prominent NDT figure on board while he is with us on land.
